Modular & pre-fab homes with challenging logistics
At Modco Pacific Homes we’ve had the opportunity to build a number of amazing remote site homes and modular cabins, both on and off grid. Whether you can tie into existing services on your site, or you need a full solar, septic, water reclamation and rainwater collection package, we have the experience to make your remote getaway a dream come true.
In 2019 we had the opportunity to have a film crew document our five module 2000 sqft off grid build and install on a remote island in bc for diy network’s “building off the grid“. The show has since aired on several networks all over the world including diy network, hgtv, discovery and more. This install was one of our most complex to date, craning the 20,000 lb off grid modular home modules nearly 100′ up a cliff from a barge mounted crane, to be placed on the foundation.
Challenging Logistics
Challenging logistics are our specialty. Where most builders will turn you away, we will jump right in. There is almost nowhere that we can’t place a building.
Whether we install on a remote island from a barge mounted crane, helicopter install to a site without road access, or truck the modules in over challenging terrain – we have done it all. modco can find a solution for nearly any challenge you may have.
Modular off grid homes
Off grid modular homes present their own unique circumstances that require solutions dependent on your personal needs, the use of the home, and its location.
We offer a wide array of off grid prefab and modular solutions from simple and efficient to large scale systems to give you every amenity you desire. From propane powered appliances, generators, and heat, to full solar arrays, or a combination of both.
We can provide waste solutions as simple as a custom built outhouse, or a full septic package for your custom off grid home. Contact us to discuss your options.

Pre Fab Off-Grid Homes
Our prefabricated modular building process removes the headaches and logistical challenges of building in a remote location. Having a significant portion of the home prefabricated in a factory setting offers drastic time and money savings – getting you in your home quicker, and for less money.
Modular homes of today can be fabricated in all shapes and sizes. Once assembled, you would never know it was not a site built home.
